Frank Spady began his career of business development and marketing within multi-national corporations. His professional career began in 1966 with Hughes Aircraft working in production control and quickly working his way up to assistant general manager. This was very helpful in understanding manufacturing and then being able to apply it to Marketing and Sales.
Fairchild Semiconductors and Schlumberge
Five years later he was hired by Fairchild Semiconductors to start up the Arizona branch and then rising to Sales Manager for the Rocky Mountain region. After achieving $24 million in sales he was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and returned to corporate headquarters in California. After bringing this division from a two million dollar loss to the most profitable division ($120 million), the company became ripe for acquisition and was done so by Schlumberge. He was then given worldwide responsibility.
Valid Logic
After six years Mr. Spady joined Valid Logic, as a Regional Manager, in his first venture in a start up business. After opening branches and staffing them with technical and administrative staff he exceeded his quotas throughout the USA, becoming number one in this highly competitive business after two years.
Boeing Computer Services
Mr. Spady was then hired as regional Sales Manager of Boeing Computer Services (a division of Boeing Aircraft) and later promoted to Vice President of Sales. He was responsible for creating and selling a CAD product to the government. This highly successful sales contract translated into a promotion to regional manager for the automotive business and relocation to Michigan to deal directly with the senior people of the automotive sector such as the CEO of GM, Roger Smith and the CEO of Chrysler, Bob Eaton. This position reported directly to the President of Boeing, Mike Hallman. After two years of sales activity and traveling worldwide he brought to BCS the largest contract in company history, 86 million dollars with residuals.
Intergraph Corporation
Five years later Mr. Spady was recruited by Intergraph Corporation (Cad/Cam) as Director of DOD. As Director, he responded by making them number one in three years with contract awards exceeding $1.2 billion dollars. He was then recruited by the CEO Jim Medlock to penetrate the graphics industry, which included the worldwide movie and production business. This he achieved in two years.
Evans and Sutherland
After six years Mr. Spady was recruited to become Vice President of sales with Evans and Sutherland introducing their Virtual Reality program, by penetrating ABC, FOX, NBC and various production houses throughout the world – China, Japan, Europe and South America.
Orad Inc.
Orad Inc. a start up virtual reality company then recruited Mr. Spady to become Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Within two years he took their product to number one. They now own 80% of the Virtual market place.
Mr. Spady was working and living for three years in Asia developing an intelligent network overlay for the Internet. This has opened many contacts for him to help others enjoy the fruits of his labor.
After completion of his work in Asia, Mr. Spady became involved in the mortgage lending business in Las Vegas. He became Executive Director of the Nevada Association of Mortgage Brokers and was instrumental in changing Nevada laws for mortgage brokers.
