December Networking Event with Canada Consul General David Fransen

Yesterday, December 1st, was another one of our monthly networking events. We were honored to have Canada Consul General, David Fransen, as our guest speaker. David Fransen was appointed Consul General of Canada in Los Angeles by Prime Minister Harper in September of 2008. He is Canada’s senior representative in Nevada, Southern California, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Consul General Fransen spoke about the relationship between Canada and Nevada. In 2009 Nevada imported $726 million from Canada. In this same year total Nevada exports to Canada were $594 million. Most of our group did not realize that Canada is Nevada’s number one trading partner.

The Canada Nevada Business Council was mentioned by the Consul General and he gave his endorsement of this council that promotes the bi-lateral trade between Canada and Nevada.

The networking group luncheon was held at Morton’s Steakhouse. Over 60 top business owners and senior level executives attended. Attendees included:
